Historically pretty neat. It is very small though so don't plan to spend longer than an hour here.

A very interesting and informative museum, there was so much to learn about the law system centuries ago, conditions the prisoners lived in and you can feel the cold air and bleakness when you go down to the prison itself.

Amazing place! Cannot believe how small the cells really were for them

Amazing glimpse into the past in one of the very oldest buildings in all of Great Yarmouth! Great for the family and full of so much eye opening information 😀

visiting a place like this is truly a reminder of how good we have it, in an out of the justice system!

I had arranged a ghost hunt via Fright Nights. I would recommend this place for a ghost hunt as there's hundreds of years history and atmospheric. A very spooky and active night with Fright Nights Norfolk and Suffolk

Historic building with ancient prison cells intact. Plenty of stories of local ne're do wells. Kids will enjoy this.

This is only a small museum, but they are friendly and eagerly welcomed us and are so good with children. There were colouring and brass rubbing activities, a lovely pirate ship toy and figures to play with. Do take your time to talk and read about what you see although we did the best bits in a few minutes. It has lots of stairs and the gaol in the basement is a bit dark and atmospheric. Makes you think how awful to be locked up there.

Thoroughly enjoyable museum. I can highly recommend a visit, if you like to learn about the history of the town. It is so interesting, I spent a good 4hrs here last time with my Mum. I am so looking forward to going back in 2023. Loads to read, so interesting to read about how life was.
