Really fascinating history and museum! We stopped by in Llanberis on the way home from Anglesey and saw this interesting building from the car park on the other side of the lake. Morbid curiosity compelled us to check it out and it did not disappoint! It was relatively quiet and a nice walk to get to. The artifacts and records were very interesting to view and read and I really enjoyed learning the history of the area. My daughter particularly enjoyed viewing the creepy morgue! I'd definitely recommend this quirky free admission museum if visiting Llanberis!

This was a pleasant surprise. Such a great hands on museum with plenty to keep the kids interested. I learnt a lot about the hospital and Wales in general. Free entry too. Great experience

Great little place unfortunately it was closed when we went but it did look good though the windows. I want to go back and see inside.

Closed on my visit, (Wed 27 April ‘22) but can still see and read a good amount through the windows. Loads of history around the place and really cool to see.

Great little museum. Well worth the walk up to look around, although opening times are a little bit variable by all accounts. There was a sandwich board up next to the information kiosk at the car park saying when it was open.

This is a great place. Lots to learn about the hospital and how it became expert at all sorts thanks to the constant flow of injured and sick miners... they lived a very very tough life. The views over lake Padarn are stunning and you can see the track and railway that leads up to Snowdon on the opposite side of the valley.
