A hidden gem and unusual place to visit. Catch the informative tour. An incredible collection of lethal weaponry. Military types will love it.

A bit of a hidden gem really. Great place to visit even if military pieces are not your usual interest (my wife will testify to that)!! Run by a Husband and wife team with volunteers who are so welcoming and knowledgeable. Would definitely recommend the tour as well which was great fun. Some really good museum pieces, some of which I remember from my RAF days. Very nice cafe too

This is a little hidden gem of a place. The volunteers who ran the oracle are excellent and very knowledgeable. The tour of the Fort was very interesting, and we saw a very impressive collection of lethal weaponry in the museum. We also ate in the cafe, and the food was excellent and freshly made. You can also buy some very unique and interesting souvenirs. We spent about 3 and a half hours here, and really enjoyed it. If you are visiting this area, this should be on our list of thongs to see.

The owners are lovely and friendly, the tour guide knows his stuff but found him boring. My son who just loves all things army lost interest fast, and I could here a few of the other family's children saying he's boring. I understand he's a volunteer so he needs to engage the children more with some stories about the war

This is a nice fort&museum, we visited on 4-9-2022, and as a (Dutch) veteran with an artillery background the fun started as soon as the volunteers/owners noticed it, a warm welcome and the feeling we could talk for days about army stuff, tanks, etc etc. All goods presented are well maintenance and in a good condition, and nice to hear they’re receiving some help from the British army. Wishing them all the best in the future, greets Rianne&Danny

We really enjoyed the tour, it was very informative, volunteers impressed us with their knowledge. The museum surprised me with the size of collection of weaponry. Worth visiting, i recommend a guided tour, the price is included in the cost of the ticket. Be sure to check the opening times before coming, museum will be closed now till the new season next year.

Great experience at this hidden gem! Warm welcome by the staff and a quick intro to the museum, then onto the tour. Tour is worth the money and spans a lot. Covered all the cannons and bombs that they have in the collection, and there are a lot, from all around the world! Then on to some reconstructions of military buildings, featuring some reconstructions and exhibitions with sounds, movements etc.
They have several buildings full of old military trucks, long range weapons and other big military objects. Most of them have signs on with additional information, so you can have a read for a bit more info.

But the tour guide is so good that you probably won’t need to! Loads of little stories thrown in about the objects, such as local and military history, the development of the area, it’s positioning in the wars, plus info about the objects from across the world too.

After the tour we had a proper look around the museum in more detail. SO many guns from around the world. Thought it was very good that some of them have been chopped in half so you can see the inner workings! There was a separate tour guide showing everyone around the museum part and he was equally good! Had some old stories from his military days and lots of little bits to add about the exhibitions.

The cherry on the cake was the cafe at the end! Best sausage roll I’ve ever had!!!

Don’t leave without trying one :D

Good time had by all and we learnt lots too!

The fort is hardly visible from the road as it is dug into the hillside overlooking Milford Haven. Partly restored it houses a wide selection of deactivated armaments, some rare and ususal. We highly recommend the guided tour given by knowledgeable volunteers. Good small cafe rounds off a fascinating visit.
