Lessons with Jen are always rad. I’ve picked up theory better than I thought I would, primarily down to Jens simple explanations. Most importantly, learning new songs has been thoroughly enjoyable, mainly due to Jens patience. Grades are optional, which means I can focus on what I enjoy most, playing. Awesome.

I have been coming to Jen since 2015 after I had finished uni and moved back to Chelmsford. After that first lesson, I knew she was the teacher for me and I always thoroughly enjoy and look forward to my lessons! She works closely with me to achieve personal goals and work on pieces that I have chosen whilst also suggesting new pieces (I then end up discovering something amazing!). Jen is supportive, patient and all round brilliant teacher and I really cannot recommend her enough! I am truly lucky!

As an adult student, I was initially unsure about trying to play the piano having not done so for about 50 years. Jen’s understanding and encouraging approach has given me the confidence to actually take (and pass!) exams. She has walked me through music theory as well which I would not have thought possible when I started. Thank you Jen.

I’ve been having piano and singing lessons with Jen for several years and have progressed through the ABRSM grades to grade 5 piano and grade 6 singing.

Jen is a brilliant teacher - patient, encouraging and kind. I’d highly recommend her for teaching both adults and children.
