Rebecca Schwarz

Rebecca Schwarz is an incredible vocal coach. As someone returning to vocal training after a break of too many years to count, I found immense benefit not only from Rebecca's expertise in the physiology and technical aspects of singing (amongst the best I have come across) but also from her contagious enthusiasm, positivity and passion for performance.
Rebecca is the type of person you instantly feel comfortable with and who makes the lessons fun and entertaining so you don't always realise just how hard you have been working until you hear just how good the results are.

When I first started taking singing lessons with Rebecca, a little over a year ago now, I was incredibly nervous. I was really shy about singing in front of anyone else, and found the whole process quite daunting. Rebecca was so incredibly warm, welcoming and encouraging. She was very patient with me as I slowly found my voice.

I now look forward to every lesson and I have so much fun. She takes my lessons as seriously as she would a professional singer, teaching me interesting ways to improve my range and sharing her vast technical knowledge. I have been able to go from singing the songs that I am personally most comfortable with to tackling complicated songs that I wouldn’t have thought that I would be able to handle.

My confidence has grown so much, I am now happy to sing in front of others and one day I may even be able to sing on stage! Rebecca is quite simply the best teacher.

Rebecca is a brilliant teacher. I went to see her to gain confidence with my voice after previous voice development problems had got in the way of my love for singing. After a few months of lessons, I've been able to join a local choir and enjoy participating in Christmas performances -- including being able to sing confidently as one of only two people in the men's section on one occasion, which I never would have been able to do before! It is great to be enjoying singing again and I have learned so much about technique and caring for my voice.

I love my lessons with Rebecca! As a professional singer I travel long distances nearly every week for gigs and find that this can really affect my voice. I like that Rebecca not only supports me technically but also holistically, focusing on how to care for my voice, release tension and tips for performing when I'm tired after driving for hours. Rebecca has also given me real confidence when performing my original music :)

What I love about Rebecca’s singing lessons is that she genuinely cares, whatever ability you have. Her emphasis for me has been to improve my confidence and to do this she uses a huge array of fun techniques to relax me and improve on my vocals. The best thing of all is the sessions are fun, fascinating and inspiring. Every lesson I come away on a total high!

As a complete beginner who has never had the confidence to sing in public, the idea of having singing lessons was a nerve-wracking prospect – especially in the midst of the Corona virus pandemic and subsequent lock down. Yet from my very first Zoom call, Rebecca has made me feel comfortable with exploring my own voice, helped by her wonderfully friendly persona and contagious enthusiasm – both of which are not in the least diminished over the internet! I would highly recommend booking online lessons, above all for beginners like me who are a little bit nervous, and would prefer to start in the comfort of their own home!

Having been told that I couldn't sing from a young age I always assumed this to be the case. Thanks to Rebecca I have discovered that this simply wasn't true - her infectious enthusiasm and encouraging approach have totally transformed how I regard my singing ability and it is no exaggeration to say that my lessons with her have changed my life. If learning to sing is something that you are tempted to do, I would urge you to give it a go - I can't recommend her highly enough !

I've been working with Rebecca via zoom for four months now, and in that time Ive gone from being terrified to sing in front of anyone, to learning how to use my voice in ways I never thought possible. I feel great about where I'm at, I can confidently share songs in front on the welcoming group sessions and I have a lot of fun in the process. Would highly recommend for anyone who's ever wanted to sing but didn't think they could!
