Will Spurling - Drum Tuition

Will is the best! He is such a genuine guy, sincere and great with my son. We have always loved how he is chilled but structured and encouraging. He doesn't put on that false teacher gushing thing but treats my son like another person but also picks up on what he needs. He is clearly a fantastic drummer but there is no ego getting in the way when he is teaching students. He keeps it fresh and instinctively changes plan when necessary rather than trying to rigidly sticking to a lesson plan. Always easy to communicate with and we often recommend him to others.

We highly recommend Will! Our 8 year old has gone from being a complete beginner to now drumming to his favourite tracks and reading scored annotations in just nine lessons! It is through Will's carefully sequenced weekly lessons that our son has been able to make such rapid progress. It has been a pleasure to watch Will work his magic in unleashing musicality in even the youngest of children. Will's talent as a drummer shines through, as well as his ability to teach drumming in a calm, achievable and progressive manner.

Will is a skillful drummer and a great drum teacher. He explains everything well and is encouraging. My son is making good progress and is enjoying his lessons. I would highly recommend his tuition!

Apart from being an awesome drummer, Will Spurling is an amazing drum teacher. He is an incredibly patient and understanding teacher and has a unique skill of getting into his pupils minds and finding a variety of methods to make sense of the complexities, of reading music, understanding rhythm and feeling the music. I am not a young man and started about six months ago, I have struggled at each stage but have always finished the session with the belief ‘I can do this’, that belief has been growing right from the start because of Will.

He is highly skilled musician with a deep love and passion for his subject and I would highly recommend him to anybody wanting to start learning or just wanting to improve their drumming experience, whatever their level.

Will is both patient and engaging in tuition lessons..our son has progressed rapidly but moreover enjoys the sessions and music. Would recommend Will without hesitation.

Great lessons that are really enjoyable and challenging yet relaxed. Will is a patient, attentive, skilful and very knowledgeable teacher and I have improved massively over the years he has taught me.
