Ellen Alcorn Piano Tuition

Ellen is warm, enthusiastic, patient and caring. I had never had any lessons or real experience playing the piano, I started lessons at 17 and I’ve learnt so much. She was lenient on what songs I wanted to learn and always made the lessons engaging whilst teaching theory.

Ellen also teaches my 8 year old sister, who has become so much more confident with Ellen’s help. Despite the nerves of her first exams she received a Distinction on her Grade 1 exam.

Brilliant! You won’t find a better teacher.

Ellen is a fantastic piano teacher. I'm in my mid-thirties and learning piano from scratch, so I felt a bit nervous about starting to learn an entirely new skill. Ellen has been so positive and encouraging the entire time; she has built my confidence and I thoroughly enjoy each and every lesson. The main reason I would recommend Ellen is that she has an innate understanding of when to stretch me to ensure I get the best out of my lessons, but also how to gently reiterate the bits I am struggling with. I'm very happy I chose to go with Ellen!
