John Metcalfe ,The Full Octave.

For the last 12 months I've been looking to purchase an upright, acoustic, piano to replace my previous digital one. Having visited several music shops, a friend recommended the Full Octave...

I orginally planned to purchase a used Yamaha U1, mainly because they are a reliable, well-known brand. However, I changed my mind after trying out a brand new Feurich- Model 122. "Universal". (Previously I had not been familiar with the German brand).

Both are certainly good quality instruments and are in a similar price-range, but after comparing them side-by-side I discovered that the Feurich had a warmer, richer sound- particularly in the lower register. This fullness of tone is really rare to find in an upright and overshadows many baby grands. This, combined with the crafted details and superb finish made the decision quite obvious for me. I am delighted to now own a Feurich!

I'd also like to thank John and his staff for providing an excellent service- always offering honest advice, making me feel welcome and for delivering the piano efficiently (despite not living in the local area). I'd recommend The Full Octave to everyone, it is a fantastic business which has allowed me to pursue my passion for music.

Always good service from John and The Full Octave family, always wants me to join the Morris Men.

We called in to the Full Octave at the weekend to ask some advice about buying a violin. We were given excellent advice about where to go and who to speak to and also were given the names of some potential tutors. John and Liz were incredibly welcoming and friendly. We would recommend popping in to see them if you have any musical questions (or fancy becoming Morris dancer as John will try to enlist you!)
