Surrey Guitar Repair took on a restoration job every other company claimed was impossible and they got it done. George is hands down the most meticulous, thorough and skilled craftsman I've had the good fortune of finding and his colleague Leigh is just as helpful. I've used some of the most reputable names for guitar work in the past but these guys have raised the bar and shown me what "excellent" really means. I honestly can't rate of recommend their services highly enough. Best quality of service and prices around.

I'm so pleased I found Surrey Guitar Repair! I damaged a fret on a new acoustic guitar which I had to buy online. Also, since it arrived, it didn't 'feel right'. High action, buzzing frets... a fret too high, (which is how I damaged it.. trying to remedy it!). I took it to SGR who replaced the fret and completely set it up perfectly! Now, the action is great, no buzzing frets... it's like a different guitar! And is now so nice to play... a perfect job! Friendly, professional service and great value! They will definitely be my first port of call if I ever need any other work carried out. I can't recommend them highly enough!

Dropped off my beloved, but non functioning Fender Stratocaster to George and within days he had fixed the issue. Not only that, but the guitar got a full set up and and a fresh set of strings. Left a 1967 12 string electric, a 1967 bass guitar and a brand new acoustic with George for some repairs. They did a fantastic job and the 12 string and bass now play and feel like brand new instruments - a significant improvement. The old 12 string had a warped neck and now the action is just right. I bought the acoustic along just in case it needed anything doing and that in turn has been drastically improved by George's set up. Would 100% recommend for your guitars new and old.
