Charlie nails salon

Got my acrylic nail extensions done here in September and after having them removed I could see that my nails were left dented and fragile. They look repulsive now. It’s taken ages for them to grow back to normal (thank god that they have) and the dents evidently show that the way they treat nails at this salon is extremely poor.

Nails shouldn’t look like this after having extensions if they are done properly!

Nice clean tidy salon . Lady was very nice , pleasantly surprised at my acrylic nails , as some of the reviews are a bit harsh I think. Overall very pleased and shall return. As an ex nail technician myself I would say all correct procedures were followed and would rate 9 out of 10 .

AWFUL! We were told the wait was 20 mins and waited for an hour. Terrible job as well. Unwilling to do designs in anything other than gel. Asked for a pedicure and didn’t even sit in the chairs to get it done. Will not be returning. 100 percent accurate.

Originally I gave five stars because of this but then I went when she was on holiday and there was a guy covering for her and that was a whole different experience all together. I was waiting for almost 3 hours when initially I was told I'd only have to wait half an hour.
He was rude, obnoxious and quite inappropriate at times with the way he was engaging with customers. When I complained to him about the time I'd had to wait, he told me that's why I wouldn't get a discount because I complained. I was disappointed that it was Jessica's business he was ruining and also quite angry that he lacked people skills and the way he spoke to me.
I left it a few months then went back again, luckily he wasn't there and Jessica was bavk but she was already attending to someone. Another one of the ladies did my nails and the following day it was peeling off already!! I really loved Charlie's nails but at the moment I'll give it a break as the kad5 couple of appointments were money down the drain as the results didn't reflect the price or my time sitting in the chair.

Upon arrving the salon was quiet a gentleman started by taking my gel polish off and then a lady took over the cut and shape which i would normally have everytime i get my nails done which is monthly basis i choose to use this salon as it was local to me and very convenient. The lady appiled the gel polish and when she finished i looked at my nails and thought omgod i can do better i dont like complaining but i didnt want to leave with nails like that so i said to her and she said she can redo them a different colour. I took her upon this offer thinking maybe it was the gel colour she used so i picked another colour and started again. Upon her finishing this time i felt that embrassed i couldny complain again i payed and left. No one should walk out of somewhere you go to make something look good and be embarrassed about your nails and where your going to go and get them done again! I will not be returning as my nails have never looked so bad.

Very quick and too quality. Gel polish outlasts the length of my nails growing back. Would recommend. However, even if you book you can sometimes find yourself waiting. Try and go at quiet times. Fridays are always busy.

I went to get my nails done here on Saturday. I only went for gel nails and had gel already on my nails. Firstly they removed the gel with those electric machines not by soaking them off. This ruins your nails. Then the lady attempted to paint my nails. The colour was patchy and the edges were really bad so I complained. She tried to correct the edges with the electric machine and ended up ruining the nails even more. She assumed I would be happy with her attempt but it was only worse. I told her I was not happy and then the other lady said she could take them off and refund my money but charge for £5 for removal. At the point I was so unhappy as I had been in there for 2 hours. I honestly wish I never went to this salon. One of the worst experiences I have ever had and my nails are ruined. I walked in with strong, long healthy nails. My nails are now splitting and breaking. Avoid this place.
