AJ’s Nails & Beauty

I come to this salon regularly for sunbeds and the staff have always been so friendly and helpful. Today I went for my sunbed and having used the toilet before after asking staff where it was on a previous visit, I went after my treatment only to be shouted at from outside the cubicle by a member of staff as it is not for use of the clients and I needed to ask permission beforehand. It made me feel extremely uncomfortable and honestly like I was in school being told off by a teacher. If it is a toilet only for staff use then it should be clearly marked as such and the staff member should have shown a lot more professionalism than what was displayed today. If I had walked off the street into the toilet then I would understand the manner in which she spoke- as a frequent paying customer I completely taken aback and felt intimidated and belittled which is NOT okay.

Staff were nice, and did a good job, have to pay two thirds of your price when you book though and have to fill in a lengthy form with all your info as a new customer. The girl doing my nails was lovely but clipped my skin, causing it to bleed so made the process painful. Nail varnish did not last very long either, but that seems to always happen to me.

Brilliant service and excellent safety. Only myself and Im (beauty therapist) in the salon. Covid safe working rules were adhered to. Both of us in masks. Hand washington entering the salon. All the staff have taken certificates in Covid safe working.

And the pedicure of course was perfect and a lovely treat. My previous one lasted a long time. Had a back massage too which was therapeutic and so relaxing. A great tonic and wonderful treat.

Another fabulous manicure from Amy. Their deluxe manicure is quite pricey, but it has to be said, they always do the very best job and the results are always perfect. Not a service that I could justify getting regularly, but as an occasional treat, it’s a wonderful experience and I’m so pleased with my very shiny, neat nails!

I got AVL lashes by Imi and I am so pleased with them! I will definitely be back soon for more beauty treatments!

I always find this salon a dream to go to! Amy is such a sweetheart and I never fail to feel fully pampered and content when I leave AJ’s!
