I run here with my dog almost every day. Plenty of paths and trails to provide over 10 miles, criss-crossing a structured and maintained woodland of chestnut, pine, oak and beech, with a small heathland of heather and fern.
A bridleway skirts the border on one side. Riders are always polite, but learners are often brought here, so please ensure your dog is either secured or well behaved.
Wellies will be required after rain, even for the main paths.
Not suitable for wheelchairs in any conditions.
No bins are inside the woods, but there is one at the Ferndell Avenue entrance.

How lucky are those that have this on thier door step. A lovely little walk in the woods today. Well pathed, push chair friendly and a great route for those on thier bikes. There are a few little break out areas, buried in the woods and well worth finding for yourselves. Definitely worth a wander during this difficult time, to clear your head and relax.

One of my favourite places to visit locally. Incredibly diverse woodland and huge to explore. Bike friendly in places too.

It was a very nice park that is not too busy and a great place to walk with the dogs! We will go back to visit again for sure. The only downside is that there are mountain biking people every so often appear in the path that you need to watch out for.

This is our favourite place to be. There are lots of hidden surprises which we just love to find.
Make sure to bring wellies in the Winter.

Haven't been here in a while. Wanted to cycle through the forest. Arrived only to find out that cycling is completely banned - had to turn around. How backward is that?

Lovely forest with well-kept walking paths. Parking is not so hot though.
