Purwell Meadows

Nice walk around Purwell Meadows in Hitchin. Thought it may be bigger but still fun.

It's a lovely little bit of land and water meadow. A bit small to walk a medium sized dog but great for a stroll or to get close to nature.

Lovely place for a walk anytime of year. Quite a wildlife haven. Just be aware it can get very boggy under foot in the winter.

Small water meadow with river along the edge. Good for walking dogs and children but be aware not fully fenced and near roads. No public facilities. Not suitable for wheelchair users. Cattle graze in summer months. Can get a big boggy with the rain and the river. Bins situated outside meadow entrances.

It is just infront of our apartment. I consider myself lucly in terms of beautiful view and fresh green air.

Fantastic environment for both dogs and the kids to explore. All exits are gated but not wheelchair accessible. As it's popular with dog walkers your dog will go into sniff overdrive 😂

Lovely to walk through, always beautiful especially in the spring/summer.

Be aware that this is quite a long walk. I hadn't realised as previous reviews didn't express how far it is and for someone with circulation or leg problems it is unfortunately a bit much.
