It's our 3rd year we have stayed here. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Nice to walk round the mere. If you like a longer walk, go past the mere to Stanley Park. A nice place for a peaceful walk. It takes about 3 hours.

Very nice walk around the Mere today. Lovely bright crisp day. Quite a few hides dotted about the place. Good for watching waterfowl, ducks, moorhens etc

Very peaceful but not far from the hustle and bustle of Blackpool central could do with better signage . Visitor center was closed . No toilets that we could find . Footpath round just about passable with a wheelchair .

Love going for walks round here even in the rain you do need to be aware that there can be some very muddy areas so wellies or boots 👢 are a good idea at this time of year and of course some warm clothes. There are some hides so if you like watching 👀 birds rabbits and squirrels its great .

A beautiful place, so tranquil after visiting the promenade, plenty of bird watching and wildlife spotting bunkers, there was alot of enthuiasts around on our trip yesterday trying to spot the red footed falcon rare to the UK but spotted at the mere.

Great place for a peaceful walk surrounded by nature. Mobility scooter/wheelchair friendly (couple of gravel bits but northing too major) lots of dragonflies, birds, bunnies and squirrels to be seen! Worth a visit for sure.

One of the best walks in Blackpool away from the Promenade. It was a joy to discover this wildlife haven.

Nice walk around Marton Mere in the summer but a bit cold and bleak in the winter. Lots of birds to be seen and there are hides around the lake if you want to watch them (take your binoculars!) There's also a bird feeding area where food is put out to attract many species making them easier to see. After rain the paths can get very wet with big puddles so wear some good boots and expect muddy trousers. The southern edge of the route round the lake goes through the edge of Marton Mere Caravan Park so if you're staying there it's a good place to start your walk.
