West Down Nature Reserve

Visited this place for the first time on a sunny Sunday afternoon. We wandered through the back up to Chilbolton Observatory. Very pretty spot.

Beautiful area visited as the starting point to a good circular walk around the Test Valley!

Beautiful place to walk but trail signs not always visible

Weird car park but nice walk close by.
Some people park here and take a short walk to the local tea shop in the local village.

FYI tea shop is really nice and also is a Post Office!

Oh and the coffee and accompaniments are really good.

Lovely nature reserve to explore with your partner / & or kids.
It seems much bigger than you'd think with some cool war time structures hidden around to be discovered.

Great little route if you want a quick walk. Especially if you have little ones. Trail kept ours motivates the whole way round. Some great views as well.

Good place to take a short walk. Nice grassy paths. Not muddy even today. Super views.
