Lovely place for a walk. Unfortunately we didn't see the wild boar or deers

Access road needs work. An extra layby or two would help for longer vehicles. Carpark at the top really too small for a motorhome. Some paths have been improved. Closes at 7.30pm. Ponds are nearly empty which suggests seasonal rainfall low. No streams but wet underfoot with just a little rain. Likely muddy in places. Lower Hide has no outdoor deck viewing area; just the hut. Could be improved. Airborne and contact viral transmission person to person possible in the hide. Picnic tables were in evidence. Walking limited to just a few trails. No cycling on site. Looked a little shabbier than last visit. Pedestrian gate to picnic area is broken and has to be lifted off the ground to open. Wild boar doing a good job digging it all up. One or two species of mushrooms growing. Modest visitor centre with notice boards. Toilets inc. accessable. Very few birds in evidence. Mainly walkers some with dogs. Usual green bags of dog poo left here and there.

A really nice place to walk. I heard some deer but didn't see any. I was not lucky to see a wild bore. Lovely place to walk none the less.

Staying near by ,had a lovely walk ,would recommend going early if bird or nature watcher as plenty of dog walkers arrive in between 10-11

Stayed at Parkend and Symons in the past. Some of the best walks in Nags head nature reserve have been in the early hours of the morning then down to Cannop ponds, with a wide variety of wildlife and birds to see and hear all the way. Like most places in and around the beautiful forest of Dean

Lovely little find, not busy and extremely helpful volunteer guides. Two well marked walks. Dog loved it too

Nice nature reserve in the Forest of Dean. A circular route, easy to walk around. Didnt see any boar or deer this time. Car park is medium sized , go early. But its quiet enough to enjoy peace and quiet.

Really lovely reserve, an easy 2 mile walk, minimal noise from the local stone works. Facilities were not open today so worth checking in advance.
We saw nuthatch, treecreepers, greater spotted woodpecker, a beautiful buzzard. A treat for me as I am normally on the coast and away from woodland!
Look forward to returning in the summer when some activites/events are on.
