West Wood, Little Sampford

Main path very churned up by horses to the point we had to turn back and find a different path. This took us around the woods and was much easier to wlk around with 4yr old and dog. Unfortunately only one dog bin at start of wlk. We did see some deer in a field out side octavia wood. A couple of squirrels and a phesent. Parking area very small and an abandoned car does not help the situation.

Lovely woods very quite will visit again

Lovely little wood with a few different walks through and around it. Parking for 3 or 4 cars max at the entrance

This ENT wood could benefit owners and locals (wood burner owners) if a wood management expert was brought in one weekend to collect fallen trees for people’s homes, and for benefit of ground plants.
Some position signage around site would be useful for walkers seeking exit.

Not worth visiting as not maintained. Pathways almost inaccessible. Likely used by locals and horse riders as no parking space.

Peaceful. Untouched woodland.
