Good place to walk the dog, or the kids. Lots of different habitats and a good view from the top. No car park though - you have to park in a lay-by or on the roadside.

Beautiful nature area, lots of wildlife, excellent views, and great for sunsets. I wouldn't really advise this for wheelchair users as it's very hilly, but great for exercise.

A lovely place to visit any time of year. A haven for wildlife. Excellent bird watching opportunities are available including migrants such as reed and sedge warblers to the reed beds. A good variety of dragonflies can also be seen in summer. Good paths to walk on. A bit muddy and watery in the winter !

Thoroughly enjoyed my brief visit here. Yes, the absence of a car park means you need to think about this before you visit and plan accordingly. The site itself encompasses many different well established wildlife habitats. My favourite, along the edge of the quarry at the top of the steps was bursting with life, expect to enjoy a diverse array of wildflowers, shrubs and grasses at this time of year. I do think the maps could be clearer and maybe show the circular routes that can be taken if ascending the high steps up the hill. Not sure if the Red Lion pub in Huncote is always closed Sunday lunchtimes, we parked here expecting to have a drink on our return but it didn’t open until 3pm.

One of my favorite places near Leicester. You can sweat a little while coming up, but the views are worth it.

Fantastic place to fly a drone. Brought my family along to see the views.

Pleasant enough place to walk but parking is very limited and on the verges. Paths can be muddy and it's quite a climb up the steps to the top of the hill.
