Nice place for a walk on a sunny day. Plenty of wildlife to watch and you can also walk along the canal next door.

Scenic and level walking makes this place accessible to most. Easy parking. Picnic areas. Family friendly. Dogs on leads.

Walked around this beautiful mere with friends and their dogs.
So peaceful, sail boats out and bobbing about....
Highly recommend this open accessible walk around all of it, only 2 miles or so to get around all of it.
Thanks Ellesmere for such beautiful meres and for keeping them safe and well maintained.

We had a wonderful dog walk around the mere on Sunday. The paths are very clear & very well looked after. Such a wonderful place with great signs about its ice-age history

A good level circular walk around the lake through woodlands. Access to the canal via the woods too.
At the head of the lake there is a sailing club. Good accessible car park with open grassland for picnics.

Beautiful !
Walked along the canal to reach the Mere. Stunning, lots of birds & ducks, great place to take the dog. Will definitely visit again :)

Absolutely beautiful! The walk is easy and flat and we managed it with a push chair, so very family friendly. It's a nice loop around the lake, saving the need to double back on yourself. Will definitely be coming back here again

Great place to walk and unwind. Beautiful natural scenery. Walked around the mere then to the woods and along side the canal leading to Ellemere.
Free parking too. :)
