Absolutely fenomenal. Car park was full, since it's weekend and weather suddenly improved a lot, but it was worth waiting a little while. Near car park rather busy with people, but further away you go, more quiet it gets and it's a beautiful forest, fantastic hills with great views. And be prepared for steep climbing - these are not a mountains, but pretty steep hills, so great if you look for a place to burn some calories...

Lovely nature reserve with lots of good walks that you can take your dog on.

Lovely heathland, very expansive and perfect for a walk. The pretty cows were a bonus too!

This is a great place for walking with children. We went on a weekend during summer holidays and there were good amount of parking available. Lots of place to do a picnic too. Lot less crowded than box hill.

I have been visiting Headley Heath for about two years now. Its an unexpected, peaceful gem you can escape if your in London easily and feel like you are deep in the countryside somewhere. Once onto the Heath you don't hear traffic and you are surrounded by animals and changing landscape.

There are no facilities here apart from a food van in the second car park. It does reasonable quality food for a takeaway van and for fueling a walk. I often get a hot chocolate or coffee to see me though a walk.

Headley Heath can seem crowded upon arrival but not long after walking the Heath you can soon isolate yourself from other people for periods of time. Any time I have visited most people there are extremely friendly anyway and they say hello which is one of the nicest things about coming.

It is an absolute gem for photography, the landscape and the way lighting falls on it in different weathers makes it beautiful and dramatic in all weathers. I frequently snap pictures there that are really lovely.

Beautiful country side with a large car park and (when I visited) refreshments on site. The trails were a little hard to follow (I recommend taking a photo of the map when you head in or using a walking app like AllTrails). You need to pay for parking with Pay By Phone so recommend downloading that before you go incase of poor data coverage. I can't remember the charge for 1 hour but three hours is more then enough time and cost around £4.
