It's a park area with nature in Nuneaton, easy to access, path are well marked and dog friendly. The main attraction is a pool accessible from every side.

This area is known locally as 'Dead Dogs', which apparently comes from a rather gruesome story from some years ago Anyway, the area is certainly much nicer than its nickname. The pool is a little gem popular with fishermen, which doesn't have too much of a negative impact because there's less life on the water here than in other similar spots in the area. Behind the pool are the woods, and beyond it footpaths that cross fields either side of Whittleford Brook. Head back through the final field and you'll find yourself on an ancient tree-lined kane, or head back out the other way and wander up the old colliery line that is now known as the Black Track. There's no shortage of options if you start out at 'Dead Dogs'.
