I would have to say this is one of the best open spaces I have had the pleasure to walk/run. As others have said just beware there is every chance you'll run in to army training exercises with blanks being shot but when they see you they will half the exercise until you're at a safe distance again, fantastic place you must visit if you're in the area.

This is virtually my back garden. Such a beautiful area to walk and ride. Please would dog walkers take their animal's sh*t away with them so as not to spoil it for everyone else. Plenty of gorgeous autumn fungi to view if you look hard.

Barossa is literally a 3 minute walk from my home. There are a number of entrance and exit points and when you are on the Common literally miles of trails to walk, run, cycle or walk your dog.

It is owned by the MOD so you will encounter soldiers on exercise but they are very friendly and do not bother you to any degree.

There is some wildlife you can spot i.e various birds butterflies and snakes (adder and grass snake) if your lucky.

In the spring and summer you will also find belted Galloway cattle grazing. Again they will not bother you.

Plenty of room and a variety of paths. Watching the colours change through the seasons is a treat and an alert walker can spot dear, grass snakes, slow worms, lizards, hawks, owls, and bats. At different times of the day and year.
Numerous dog walkers every day and families in good weather.

Brilliant place for walks in nature and fresh air. Multiple paths that allow you to keep away from any crowds. Just download the AllTrails app and check the maps for all the paths. Highly recommend. May need hiking boots as paths can get muddy

Love this place! Awesome for dog walking & mountain biking! Occasionally you will also see lesser spotted dudes dressed in camo gear hiding behind a bush - as it’s army land. 😅

A vast space. Nice for walking, camping, running, cycling etc ....

Big hills and mountain like ways to go. Lots of pretty nice rock.

Its one of the best places for a long walk , or a picnic around Camberley. It has tracks for cycling, and magnificent views .
