Nice little wood for a local circular walk. Most of the trees within the wood are oak trees. Walking is easy under foot as the walkways are maintained by the Friends of Chaddesden Wood

Was beautiful in the evening light with the snow. Its a nice little walk, has Pokestops for those who play pokemon go. And last summer members of the local community build a gruffilow den. - not sure if it's still standing now though.

Not a very big place but it is big in beauty and tranquility. Right in the middle of suburban sprawl this little nature reserve is lovely for walks with or without the dog, with or without the kids! Plenty to explore and find out about. Ok for pushchairs and disabled unless its extremely wet. There is no car park so you'll have to park on the road. Take a trip, you may also find some surprises hidden!

Love walking around here in all seasons. It gets a fair bit muddy underfoot when it's been raining so wear appropriate footwear. Circular walk, links with areas of Oakwood housing estate. Woodpeckers, various song birds, squirrels, fungi, different types of trees and shrubs can be seen.

An ancient and beautiful place to visit at any time of the year. The trail is an easy circular path 0.6 miles long so we tend to walk it then do it again in reverse. The bluebells in spring are worth a look and the variety of birds is wonderful. There are benches on the trail and we always sit for a while and scatter some bird seed. The woods are looked after superbly and it's obvious there is always work going on to conserve and care for a lovely oasis. A gem that we should be very proud of.

Lovely little walk around this woods! The path is clearly marked. Nice and shaded for the dogs! Not far far if you fancy a short walk

We really like these woods. There are not many people and we often walk on the little paths
