Woodthorpe Meadows Nature Reserve

A great up and coming nature reserve very close to the centre of the city. there is a meadow area with many wild flowers and grasses. There is also a beautiful wooded area. It can be easily accessed by Mansfield road and has a bus stop directly outside it. It has recently come under new management with the Keeping it Wild Youth team so many new improvements and events are expected.

A beautiful small meadow and woodland in Nottingham. There are paths for you to walk around and look at all the trees - you will find Ash, oak, sycamore, cedar, yew, amongst many others!

It is a wonderful place for you to bring children, with the Keeping It Wild conservation team doing a lot of work to make the reserve a nicer place to visit. All in all, a beautiful little reserve that's perfect for picnics and light strolls!

We love it here. Hidden away from the main road, a lovely open space for the dogs to run off lead. Lots of smells and a safe and relatively secure place. I wish people that used it for picnics and getting drunk would clean up after themselves though.
