It would be nice but it's been decimated by tree cutting and the ground has all been churned up. Piles of detritus from the tree clearing just left around. Give it another couple of years and it should start to be nicer.

Lovely place for walking or cycling, one problem is I heard it used to be a proper woodland and they cleared all the trees. I would have rated it five stars but I think the cleared land is very sad. At least some trees still remain but it's hardly a wood now.

Lovely bit of green space near to Selby - there's not a lot to it but it's nice to get out in nature every once in a while. The haugh itself is the highlight, with commanding views of the surrounding landscape.

All in all a great short walk for when you need a breath of fresh air, and ideal for dog walking!

I love this place. Went for government sanction exercise most evenings through April to June during the 2020 lockdown. It is not very big, but it is lovely to walk around and climb up the hill. Is slowly recovering from tree-felling and new plants are growing.

Amazing views, never knew it existed before, the area is a remnant of debris left behind from the Glacial period that ended 20,000 years ago, similar formation at Brayton barff..
When the Glaciers melted across the northern hemisphere Sea levels across the Globe rose by 120 metres or around 400 feet, this formed the Mediterranean Sea, and this is where the story of Noah's Ark has its foundation..
The sea's level has changed over Millions of years, and will continue to do so with or without man's miniscule contributions..

A free stroll in nature with some good views from the top. Small free parking area at the entrance on the roadside. Paths mostly through shoulder height bracken, but it opens out a bit at the top, proffering some pleasant views. Paths a mixture of woodland grass; sand and then rock at the top, the latter two can be a bit slippery.
