I heard a whisper that the location of one or the earliest wind turbines and its foundations had turned up. I remembered some 20 to 30 years ago there was a test centre on another site nearby. So had to go and see. Nice beach and area anyway. Pembrey Country park also near by. Lots of wildlife birds cycle paths ect. So get your boots on..fill your flask and take some provisions. You are going to be out for a while.

Beautiful view across a wide stretch of sand to the Mumbles. Stunning sunsets. Very quiet. Packed with historical interest. There are concerns though about the collapsing and dangerous, compacted, dust sea wall - the produce of a power station that once stood near the bank - slowly disintegrating and colouring the sand.

Beautiful beach with acres of flat sand when the tide is out. First visit here and it was absolutely stunning.

Very nice beach quiet most of the year except peak times

Be aware of a current asbestos issue where some debris around the area may contain asbestos signs are posted around at beach entrances

The car park can be very full at peak times/season

Beautiful! A huge beach, clean and dog friendly. Tide was out when we visited so able to walk from a carpark through woodland onto beach, then across the beach to the harbour. Return walk was along path as tide had come in!
Plenty of car parks available.

Lovely beach with tons of golden sand and views! Perfect for walks and water activities (Weather permitting of course). Definitely going back in the Summer.
Highly recommend a visit!
