It’s nice to visit here in winter as the crowds are away in the towns and cities. It’s become a valuable nature reserve in recent years as I suppose it will have been since the years when I lived here growing up. It’s good to come back from time to time looking out for positive changes and seeing others appreciating the area. There is a good wooden walkway to a viewing platform where it’s possible to look west to the Snowdonia mountains and east as far as Liverpool. Straight out is the Irish Sea with offshore wind farms generating green energy. There are always plenty of seabirds around and a few people walking their dogs. A great way to spend an hour or two! Free parking 500m from the dunes.

Great walks around the dunes and lovely views of the beach

One of our favourite walks. 😍 We often see interesting birds 🐦 and a great view of the beach and see from the viewpoint. We even saw a dolphin on one day!

Went to visit gronant dunes today, parked in the car park opposite the little shop and walked along the path past the holiday park. I was absolutely appalled by the amount of dog mess all over the paths! This isn't for the lack of bins as there are bins at the entrance to the dunes. We walked for about 10 mins through the dunes before we gave up and walked back, I couldn't take in the scenery as I had to keep my eyes on the floor to make sure I didn't step in any!

Lovely place for a walk ,great beach and wonderful nature reserve
