Popworld - Portsmouth

We love Popworld!! We go every couple of weeks and they always play songs we know and love. Drinks are a good price so you don't cry looking at your bank account the next day. We had a fab time at the neon night on Saturday it was a good laugh. All staff are friendly and have a laugh 😃

Great place special 80s music 🎶 night 🌙 on Monday.

After midnight it was fancy dress as
Stranger Things 4. I went as Hopper.

It's great sitting outside talking to loads of young people I was with my wife, Son and Daughter. I'm 61 and born in 61, but that didn't bother anyone, I still had to show my ID lol .

Door staff were great 👍 stopping trouble before it came in.

Arrived at 11:30 and park on the street outside.

Great crowd mainly locals as students have gone home 🏡.8

Michael I’d an absolute legend I wouldn’t let anyone else serve me. It’s not even often I come in but he’s going to be my go to from now on. 10 stars in reality

Wow, what a night. First I won a free booth from their fright night they held.
Door staff were really friendly and helpful.
Bar staff are good at informing you of offers and special. Great night.
Looking forward to going again.

Had a great time until my partner was asked to leave by a female security guard to which I asked why. She refused to tell us as she said it was confidential. I offered to move away so she could tell him why he had to leave but, again, she refused. She then said to me “I’m done talking to you” and pushed with both hands out of the smoking area and slammed the gates in my face. I emailed in a complaint about her and was told that it would be looked into but have yet to be met with a reply about what will be happening. Absolutely appalled by the way this was handled considering I was not aggressive or abusive in the slightest to have had this done to me.

Great staff, great music coming for 8 years no issues

Initially I was dissatisfied, having misread the sign as Poopworld whilst I was desperate. Anyway, several cocktails and a change of pants later, and I've had a great night 😁
