Crystals Nightclub

Crystals plays host to a wide variety of events – the most regular being the Friday for the 21+ age group, and Saturday ‘Crystals’ night for the over 25’s. See Crystals Facebook page for up-to-date information, comments and chat on these two nights.

Crystals is also available for hire Sunday thru Thursday – for events or that epic birthday, photoshoot, filming, boxing match, etc, etc.

With capacity of 700, our three rooms can host most events.

I started seriously going to this nightclub from May 2015 every weekend up until February 2016. I've had some really good nights in this spot but was using it as a dance studio to practice my unorthodox moves. The good thing about this place is that it has a maturer crowd compared to the other night clubs in the vicinity. Age group between 21 to 60 years old. Majority of clubbers are in their late 30s and 40s. The revellers are there to have fun and are always dancing. DJ TKP2000 who plays in the main room gets people on the dance floor and plays all types of music like 80s/ 90s/ 00s – Club Classics & Party Anthems, Old Skool Garage R&B and House. I like when he plays 'one-away' pop, rock and funk tunes from back in the 70s and 80s which strays from his predictable playlist.

DJ Charlie in the Red Room is pretty decent, playing old skool commercial Reggae, Garage and R&B. He made me realise that I can create a cipher on the dancefloor if I lose myself to the music and hit the dance moves hard!

Overall Crystals has a good a vibe, the drinks are relatively cheap especially if you get there before 10pm. If you attend this club you can be yourself, have fun and act silly without any one really batting an eye-lid. For any man or woman attending this venue looking for a partner it is easy to 'pull' as it appears to be a meat market from what I have seen. Most men and women in this club are well up for it. Clubbers coming from far and wide to attend the venue due to the age group it attracts.

I have got totally drunk in the Cocktail room of the club. I enjoy watching myself dancing in front of the floor to ceiling mirrors in that room. An okay smoking area overlooking Crystal Palace football ground with their flood lights on. Smoking area good to cool off and chat to a few clubbers. The management of Crystals are fine and down-to-earth.

The reason why I have given Crystals a four star rating as a couple random members of their security team are pretty envious towards me as they can see I am having a great time and the majority of revellers enjoy watching me move. The security team overall are cool especially the head of security. I only attend this nightclub very occasionally due to this type of behaviour I have experienced from a couple of bouncers which is sad, especially when I only live 8 minutes walk from the venue. The management team need to cherry pick their door staff and security team as they are the face of the club.

The club has been running for over 20 years so it is established. Worth popping in for a try to see if it is your cup of tea. Free car parking in the Sainsburys vicinity outside the club ;)

We popped in for a quick reccie last year and instantly decided it was a must for the stag night. Drinks are cheap, place is unpretentious and the crowd were really friendly

Was just calling ahead from a nearby pub (a few weeks ago) to check whether we could wear trainers and found IT'S NOT THERE ANY MORE.

Always good for a laugh. Shame it has to close down.
