Bar Thirteen

Worked here for 4 months and could no longer stand the poor management and organisation of this place. They are stupidly overpriced, expect to pay 6-8 pounds for a double vodka and coke, and claim that they are the place of choice for a night out in Guildford. If you have any sense dont go anywhere near this place both for a job and for a night out. When I first started working for them I wasnt paid for a total of 6 weeks. They are slow to act on everything! Had to close the bar once at peak times on a saturday because they had a shortage of glasses and nothing on tap. Premium costs of entering the venue did not meet the standards which they make out. They have a shortage of staff and thats beause they dont understand the fundamentals of keeping employees happy and satisfied. The only thing which is decent about this venue is the music, but only when a reputable DJ is performing. If your looking to get adequate training too, dont expect that. I wanted to learn how to make cocktails at a bar which requires bartenders with that experience, yet they refused and couldnt be bothered as they were so concerned about there stock which is often non-existant. All I can say is good luck for anyone who attends this venue. There are some lovely staff here but is it worth it.

I tend to go here because there aren't many bars in Guildford still open that aren't aimed at the over 40s. The floor is always INCREDIBLY sticky. Most night I return home with black marks on my legs and shoes as a result. Usually full of locals coming over from spoons which presents a significant traffic hazard. Staff, including bouncers are very friendly and nice.

Got kicked out because I said the pint of thachers gold tasted like metal and the club it self was completely empty,never going again because it was a complete waste of time.recommed casino for a proper night out,this place has a 3.2 rating for a reason.And please can a manager reply to this And try back there corner, trust me they aren’t winning

You could see through the woman’s restroom cubicle and the smell in the restroom was terrible, the drinks are terrible tastes like water and my friend got spiked there on Friday, would not highly recommend this place.
£2 = water.
And knock off booze.

You guys are so desperate for a 5 star review to revive this place but what I saw tonight was horrible. Lived in Woking for 10 years and came out clubbing for the first time in 2 years. At the end of the night a customer was leaving with a glass of water and was aggressively attacked and prevented to leave by a bouncer. Why didn't you ask them to slow down and hand you the drink? Disgusting aggressive behaviour. Retrain your animalistic bouncers to have some decency and respect. Pathetic

I have been to drum and bass nightclubs and festivals around the world. Bar thirteen is quite possibly the worst place I have ever been to for dnb..... Awful sound system, rubbish crowd, weak lineups, awful venue.

Honestly don't bother with dnb at Guildford. Just go to London. Probably same price with better music and sound.

I was here before and the mens loo was flooded with urine. I got chucked out for using the ladies loo. Even though I had paid to get in. Where was I meant to use the loo? Also for some ungodly reason we decided to give it another chance where my friend was holding a door open for my other friend. He was met will full force aggressive behaviour due to opening a door for someone?.?? Please don't go here is it an actual joke. This place deserves to shut. Although the manager did come and talk to us and was fairly reasonable even though I quote. He said 'there are two sides to every story'? This would make sense if we were causing a problem there wasn't anyone else trying to get in and my friend was just trying to be polite. Avoid this like a mass covid plague.. you will find better drinks in the gutter.

Staff are generally rude toilet attendant Will literally harass you I'd you do not wish to take spray and pay. Music was not great either I'm sure you can find somewhere much better without much effort
