The bartender last night was an absolute disgrace. He did not once smile, eating behind the bar, gave us attitude when ordering a simple drink. The night overall was interesting, not too sure about the music taste for a rock and indie night. All of the other staff members were lovely just apart from the male bartender last night. If I come back I will not wish to be served by him, because it was a disgrace and he ruined the night for us from the get go.

If this man is serving at the bar, make sure to avoid him! He has individually given unit 17 a bad reputation!

I've been going here on and off for 20odd years ("Fostralia '98" anyone?) and it very much depends on the night you go as to whether or not it's any good. They heydays of Liquid are long gone, but we're left experiencing a friendly crowd, 3 different rooms of music, decent service at the bars and reasonable prices. Yeah, it's good.

Great place come here quite often however the other night the disco room was so slippery it was a hazard! And I means full on hazard! Yeah sure id had a bit to drink but not to the point of falling over but on that floor yes I did. When I fell over I cut my arm. Went to a first aid room and security did nothing. Literally left my mate to do it then had a go at him for not doing it properly As much as I do like the bouncers. That was just poor of them.

Was denied entry because I "snatched my ID back too hard" from the bouncer, the same bouncer also took a bottle of drink out of my friends hand in the queue and threw it into the bin, obviously he planned on finishing it then binning it before entry. He was incredibly aggressive for no reason. Managed to get back in later on, all staff were rude and unenthusiastic, drinks were overpriced, music was average. Overall an awful club, will never attend again.

The club itself is actually okay. The R&B room needs to be made a lot bigger, I went last night with my friend and I practically got trampled on, I had to leave because I felt like i was going to either be knocked over and stamped on, or suffocate because there was literally no room to move what so ever. Can I just say, the bar staff were lovely. But as I was leaving I had a stone in my shoe, so I sat on the stair for less than 20 seconds to get the stone out and a huge man with a beard came behind me and shouted at me to get up. Now it’s not what he said, it’s how he said it and how he dealt with the situation. I completely understand the fact he wanted me to move because I was in the way, but the fact he came out of no where and scared me half to death by shouting at me is just disgusting. I was completely sober, because I was driving so I wasn’t even giving him any of the ‘drunk bullshit’. I felt so uncomfortable and intimidated I genuinely felt scared. When actually security are there to deal with the people who are being a aggressive and making others scared, not trying to make people feel scared. I told him he didn’t have to shout at me because I would have moved if he asked me nicely and he decided to put his hand on my hip and start pushing me down the stairs telling me to get out of ‘his club’. Just because you have a little badge on your arm, doesn’t make it ‘your club’ and certainly doesn’t give him the right to treat people so disgusting! I then told him to let go of me and he told me if I wanted to complain about him to ‘feel free’ because no one will do anything about it. He was vile, and thought he could treat me like this because he would get away with it. If he can’t find anything else to do and is that insecure about himself so has to intimidate a 20 year old girl sitting on a step for not even 20 seconds getting a stone out of her shoe, to make him feel just that little bit bigger about himself then good luck to him! I normally come here a lot when I go out in Ipswich but for this reason my friends and I won’t be coming back to Unit 17 again and will just stick to going out places where there are nicer staff! But granted, if I ever want to go out and want to be scared of the security men, I will definitely come back here.

Terrible nightclub, overpriced drinks, music is repetitive and only enjoyable if you haven't been to a night club in 10 years, and there are 3 different rooms! The bouncers are incredibly rude, the staff members hate working and it shows within their work. Do not waste your money here, when there are better bars to go to

My friend got attacked - no staff to help, they weren’t concerned at all! After this, no one helped him when he proceeded to leave the club getting away from these terrible people. This club should be banned. The manager just said to my friend (whilst he was outside laying on the floor after spraining/tore tendons his ankle) “can’t he just get up” “is he just too pissed”
On Saturdays they charge different prices for different people (if they like them) NEVER GO HERE UNLESS YOU WANT TROUBLE!!

Come Here and get your Drink SPIKED. Free of charge. We don't discriminate. Obviously the door staff are not watching and The Manager is totally to blame. Hopefully their inner organs are OK? But we will find out later from Tests in hospital.

James my car is being Stickered up right now with Unit 17 branded logo. But got "Drink Spiked here" all over it. Will be driving round Ipswich today and all weekend. GOOD advert for the club. Don't ya think!!
