i think they ask crazy prices for what is just junk ready for the tip but people cant take it there or dont want to pay so "donate" to emmaus. british heart foundation wouldnt sell that junk and they do at least clean their donations before putting it in the shop

Left shocked and hurt by rude van driver. (1.40pm 12/10/18 SO23 ONJ) Friends tell me they have had similar experiences. Such a shame.

I had two other charities who were happy to take my sofa which was in great condition! But they couldn’t take it before tomorrow. This charity were great full to take it today and said they would take it but didn’t have a van to collect it today. I paid for a man and a van to take it to this charity... but they rejected it?!? No idea why considering they said they would be delighted to take it! The man with his van has another job so doesn’t have time to take it to the charities further away so is having to waste it and take it to the dump! Such a. Waste I’m so angry! Never will I donate to this charity again! Thy was a £2500 sofa! non deserving ungrateful people.

My experience was incredible to start. Fast responses, arranged a pick up for a few days later. No one turned up at the agreed time, and no one has answered our calls or responded to our emails. I was very positive about this place before being ghosted!

This place is great. They always have a good selection of furniture and bric a brac at reasonable prices. The staff are really friendly and their cafe serves a cracking cup of tea - best value cuppa in Winchester.

Dont buy furniture without checking here first . Great items here , most of which is as good as new. Great pricing , very helpful staff and also quality home delivery locally at a fraction of the cost charged by other stores. The delivery driver and mate were very professional and efficient , polite and helpful and even took heavy items upstairs . Brilliant and thoroughly recomended .
