Free parking, some nice walks on made up paths so not too muddy.
Has a visitor center, refreshments, toilets and bird hides.

Lackford lakes is a lovely place to visit ! There's plenty of lakes dotted around, lots of large hides to sit in and watch the wildlife, there's a good chance you'll see plenty of bird including a kingfisher!

There's a nice woodland area aswell with plenty of large old trees, lots of nest boxes.
The visitor center is good well, there's a seating area where u can enjoy a coffee, cake or sandwich while looking over one of the smaller lakes, there's gifts and wildlife bits u can buy in the shop aswell.

It's a lovely walk even if you don't go there for the wildlife

My daughter loved the nature tick list today which was £2 you can also borrow binoculars for £3

We really enjoyed our trip to Lackford Lakes. We took the red trail, which is the designated dog walk, as we went with our puppy. It was well sign posted all the way round and had stunning views, as well as some of the best blackberry bushes I have seen in ages, which excited the children and provided a bit of walking motivation! There were plenty of picnic tables at the cafe by the lake, and a wonderful treat of GF cake with my coffee. Suggested car parking donation could also be paid by card, which is always helpful.

Was disappointed to find out that the only dog friendly trail is through a sheep pasture and nowhere near the lakes.

Wonderful place, enjoyable experience. We arrived before 10 am. The car park has a handful of cars. As the sky starting to clear up, the footpath leading to Steggall’s hide gets more and more enjoyable. The autumn color leaves make you feel warm on a chilly morning, and watching sunshine through the woodland is like watching a kaleidoscope. The fungi are the big trees of grass forests, and the crayfish are the beasts of the stream. Moreover, all the facilities are well managed, thanks to the staff.

Don't tell anybody about this hidden gem. Always something to see through the seasons at Lackford. Limited catering but you can enjoy your cuppa watching the bird feeders

Apart from road leading to the parking, it was amazing. Clean restrooms, great little coffee shop and gift store. Friendly staff. The trails are well marked and really well kept. All the hids along the trails are clean and well maintained. A really good experience.
