Low Hall Nursery School

Both our children went to Low Hall Nursery School and loved it. We loved the fact this nursery is all about learning by play. All the teachers and practitioners are the most caring and nurturing staff we have come across and seem genuinely happy to work there. The staff rotation rate is therefore lower than most nurseries in the area. All the teachers and practitioners knew our children well and adapted activities to them if they needed that "extra" attention. It was sad to leave Low Hall when our youngest daughter started reception. During the pandemic they were absolutely amazing and uploaded recording of the teachers doing phonics and reading stories which made a huge difference for us to have these resources to rely on. We highly recommend Low Hall Nursery School.

A very special nursery, which my son loved so much. He went here from September 2018 – July 2020 this year, and over this time it was incredible to watch his development from a small shy boy into a confident, independent, happy boy. The staff are kind, caring and well qualified, and they nurture children and support their learning and development. An example of how much they care - during lockdown in early 2020, Low Hall invested in an online learning platform for parents and children. Every day staff sent videos to us of activity ideas, phonics lessons, singing and all sorts of fun stuff! This year, my son left Low Hall ready for primary school, he learnt to read, he had a lovely group of friends, and most of all he models the kindness and care shown to him here. My younger daughter will be starting at Low Hall next year and she is so excited to be part of the Low Hall community.

Both of our sons have been at Low Hall, starting with the eldest in preschool there in 2015, and the younger was there until March 2020, and they both went to after school club, and holiday play schemes.

The staff are so warm and caring, and experienced. Many of them have worked there for more than a decade and it’s like a family. We watched both our kids bloom there, after they were less content in other local settings. It’s all completely child-centred, with lots of ways to stretch them and build their confidence, including lots of outside time.

Staff put in a huge effort over lockdown to stay connected to the kids and provide activities and communication.

We really miss Low Hall and if there’s a chance to go to holiday play schemes again, we’ll be there!

This is a nursery with a diverse cohort of children; staffed by senior nursery practitioners and qualified teachers. The environment is warm and friendly with the welcoming sound of children playing and having an enjoyable time. My child had a wonderful experience at this nursery and through Low Hall developed an innate confidence that was not previously present before.

Having experienced some of the nurseries in Walthamstow this nursery provides excellent value for money with wrap around care for those parents who need it, it is responsive to parental feedback and children’s needs.

My daughter attended the nursery for just over a year as her previous one lacked a large enough outdoor space. She loved it here and the staff were amazing and very attentive, she made lots of new friends and benefitted greatly from being outside and active a lot more. Her creative skills and confidence developed enormously too. Couldn't recommend it highly enough.

Low Hall Nursery is a warm, welcoming and caring place. My son started when he was 2 years old and the staff settled him (and me!) in so well and with such attention to detail. The atmosphere is positive, creative and fun. The staff are all friendly and nurture the children so well. Helen the Headteacher does a wonderful job and I would recommend the Nursery with 5 stars!

My son was there for two years, and I couldn't feel more grateful for how much all the staff cared for him, and how supportive they were during lockdown. While at Low Hall, he attended forest school, yoga, baking, messy play, painting, water activities, sand, Jack the Beanstalk theatre show, saw butterflies, had a song recorded by a singer about him to keep forever, storytime and world book day celebrations etc... He could go to the playground if he didn't want to do indoor activities, he loved snack time at the table. All the staff were kind hearted and truly dedicated. I think Low Hall is better than some of the local private schools. Thank you so much from my heart, Maxi will never forget his first nursery and all of the lovely staff who cared and nurtured him so much. Sending many blessings to you all
