Bright Horizons Teddington Cedar Road Day Nursery and Preschool

Where do I begin? I started my Bright Horizon career over a year ago now and all I can say is I made the right choice in accepting my role as Room Leader/ Third In Charge. I have since progressed in the company and am now Deputy Manager ☺️
From they first day I stepped into the building I was amazed at the beauty of the building and how big it was inside. I then was greeted by an amazing, kind, friendly and welcoming team which again supported my decision when accepting the job!
So if you are looking for a place to work then trust me this place will tick all the boxes.

After leaving school I was pretty clueless on what I wanted to do as a career, I looked around and found myself applying for an apprenticeship doing my level 2 early years practitioner qualification at bright horizons. I started my journey off at another bright horizons nursery, during being on furlough through the pandemic I made a decision to transfer to a bigger nursery to benefit myself whilst doing my course. When beginning at bright horizons cedar road I was unconfident and inexperienced, over the 2 years I have been working at cedar road I have gained knowledge, new skills and confidence in my job role from the support of the amazing colleagues and management that have been there the whole way though out my development. I can proudly say I couldn’t have done it without them. I choose the right career path, I am proud of myself and so is my team at bright horizons cedar road.

I have worked at Bright Horizons Teddington Cedar Road for 10 years. I started as a Nursery Apprentice and worked my way to Management throughout my time spent at the nursery. Friendly, approachable staff team and a beautiful historic building. As an employee at Teddington Cedar Road, I have always felt welcome and appreciated, I would recommend to anyone looking for a career in childcare.

Mediocre. Our son has been at this nursery since Jan 2018. Since then it changed hands from Asquith's to Bright Horizons and the quality has sadly declined.

Whilst they had to deal with the chaos of Covid, they dealt with it badly. For 6 months the nursery had a reduced "covid" menu which they claimed was due to food supply problems. I had to get in touch with the Bright Horizons UK MD to get this sorted. Utterly ridiculous.

The nursery has lost a lot of great staff. Including an absolute stellar pre-school teacher. And, has gone through several managers.

We would have removed our son if he wasn't off to school in the next few months.

Overall, a sad decline of what was a great nursery.
