Promises Day Nursery

My daughter has attended Promises Day Nursey since being 8 months old and is now leaving for school. I highly recommend this nursery to anyone as they put the children first, provide quality care and activities and are extremely professional. I was very worried to leave my daughter in the care of others but the staff made this much easier, they understand the anxiety of the parents and the needs of the children when starting out. The care and development of the children is consistent and to a high standard throughout their time there. I couldn't have chosen a better nursery and I know my daughter will miss them very much.

All 3 of my kids have been to promises day nursery. My 2 boys are still there. Wouldn't have sent them to any other. It's a clean, very friendly and welcoming place for any child, They see the children as children not as numbers or race. The kids could be blue with purple poker dots they don't care. My eldest son didnt talk much when he started there and now I can't get him to shut up. The kids always come home happy and normally covered in paint,soil, or what ever they been doing, showing me they had loads of fun. I recommend this nursery to everyone.

Before I first visited Promises nursery, I was a full time stay at home mum for my 14 month old daughter. Myself and my husband did not have any family living near us and I was used to spending all of my time with my daughter, so when I did consider going back to work, the thought of putting her into childcare was very daunting to me.
I have made appointments with a number of different nurseries in Chesterfield, but I felt that none of them had fully met the criteria I had for leaving my child away from me for a full day. Promises nursery facilities are outstanding. The rooms are modern and spacious, and thoroughly cleaned at the end of each day. Babies have their own private garden, where their grow flowers and vegetables, and older children have their own big outdoor space with slides and other fun activities. Their have a great menu and two hot meals for children who stay there full day. Staff are so inventive with various activities they come up with throughout the week.
What I felt was very different about Promises nursery, is that they truly cared and loved all the children. I was really touched by how warm and attentive they were with each individual child and my daughter’s later experience is definitely a testament to that first impression I got. I was very anxious about leaving her there to begin with and used to ring few times a day to check how she was. Staff were always very helpful and honest and with the updates and needless to stay my daughter settled immediately.
I have seen younger babies than my daughter attending the nursery, and they were literally carried in arms for the whole day to make sure they feel safe and cared for.
I could not recommend this nursery enough for any new parents looking for a warm, loving, fun and caring environment away from home.

My little boy is very shy and was so nervous about being left when I had to go back to work. I was very nervous too! The staff at Promises were amazing with him - so warm, kind and caring - and he settled in really well and very quickly. He has built some wonderful relationships with the staff in the baby room and now in the 2-3s room. He toddles in a very happy boy in the mornings and is always welcomed with big smiles and cuddles. My daughter has also attended the Get Set holiday club at Promises and taken part in some wonderful activities, again run by extremely caring staff. I would definitely recommend this nursery for its warm, nurturing environment and fantastic team who have made my family feel very much at home.

My daughter started this nursery earlier this year and the staff have been amazing. There are suspicions of my daughter having autism and the staff are amazing working with parents, as well as being very positive and can approach easily if ever any concerns. The environment is very welcoming for both parents and children. My daughter has come on in leap and bounds specaily with social interactions, and the nursery are doing an amazing job making my daughter feel safe and comfortable. Extremely good nursery working kd definitely recommend.

My son has been going to Promises since he was around 1 years old, he started in the baby room, promises and the staff are absolutely amazing, you walk in and it feels like a home from home I felt so comfortable leaving my son for the very first time. Previous my son had been to a different nursery that had just opened and it didn’t have the comfortable feeling like promises has!
I used to call everyday to make sure my son was ok and they had no issues with that at all. He has come on so well since starting and socialising with other children, not to mention the getting out of nappies stage the staff were amazing at helping me do this, and we did it finally! He leaves in August and we are going o truly miss all the staff they have been brilliant!! Keep up the good work Promises!!!

Our Great grandson has been here for a while now and was very shy and quiet and cried when he first started here. The staff were amazing they cuddled him talked and encouraged him and were very patient with him. As time has gone on he has settled down and become a talkative happy to be there child who joins in with the other children and activities. He enjoys the food and interacting with the wonderful staff we are so pleased he has been here and experienced the educational and social benefits Promises offers. Would highly recommend . Sue and B

Both my children attended this nursery from being babies and it is the most loving and nurturing environment I could have wished for. The activities are stimulating and fun, children spend lots of time outdoors, and the food is delicious (according to my 2 year old!) I highly recommend this nursery to everyone looking for childcare in the Chesterfield area.
