Rainbows Day Nursery

I cannot comment on other peoples experiences at Rainbows but my 2 children (my son from two to school & my daughter from one who still attends) have only ever encountered a loving & nurturing environment, in a fantastic location, in which they have thrived & developed. I have never had a problem with any of the staff who look after the children in fact I find them friendly & professional & most importantly my children have truly bonded with them. Would recommend.

Truly awful - would advise other parents to avoid. Management is supercilious, we were made to feel like an inconvenience to them.
Staff would be packing up, putting chairs on tables etc while the children were still there.
I observed staff fixated on their mobile phones and ignoring the children in the outside play area.
Their inadequate communication meant that we lost out on the free child care, the nurseries response was to charge the full fee retrospectively and demand the money paid the same day with threats of charging an additional £5 every day it wasn't paid.

The daily activities they do with the children are brilliant and hard to find in other day nurseries. They take the children out every day for walks and are a very outdoor focused nursery which I think is so important for young children.

The best in the area!

I had a bad experience and had to report to Ofsted. I was lied to and very upset that my neither myself nor my partner were contacted while our child was unwell. They had no contact details they could find for us as another member of staff had locked them away and gone on holiday . Met my partner at hospital with our child who was not taken care of adequately. From my experience I would not recommend.

I would put zero star if I could. Do not leave your child there, we had a very bad experience. The management lies a lot, when incident happened they attack you when you demand actions to be taken , instead of taking actionz to correct wrong doings.

Our son has attended Rainbows since he was 11 months old. He has enjoyed his time there, formed strong bonds with the staff and made some lovely friends. He particularly enjoyed spending time out in the garden and in the woods. Overall, the staff are very kind and caring and I would recommend the nursery to others. With a new manager recently appointed, I expect the nursery to go from strength to strength.

Both my daughters went to Rainbows seven years apart. Both experiences were excellent. The staff were brilliant with both the children and keeping the parents updated. The facilities and garden are excellent. I couldn't recommend Rainbows more.

Wonderful nursery, with caring devoted staff - our daughter started when she was 12 months in April 2021 and she has settled in so nicely and absolutely loves going - eating and sleeping very well and full of smiles when we collect her. Vicky the nursery manager is lovely and makes you feel like you have joined the nursery family. Elaine who looks after the babies is so kind, attentive and caring. Its a really great size - not too big and set in a big park - which is great for pick up time, and meeting other parents at the park.
