Shining Stars Nursery School

Our two year old twins started nursery in January, and they absolutely love it. We spent some time there before they officially started, which really helped them to get used to the place and the staff who works there. It's a small group of children which allows them to have enough space to concentrate and delve deep into their activities without much distraction. The staff are truly what makes this place special. The level of kindness, gentle engagement, encouragement and support they give to the children is wonderful. They encourage creativity and play through lots of fun activities, and they always offer healthy snacks and food. They sing songs in different languages. English, Welsh and Mandarin are some of them. The children of the nursery are from many different countries which creates a very special environment, and the children are taught about the different cultures, foods and countries. The days at the nursery are structured through play, snack time, outdoor play, tidying, songs and stories. The most important thing for me has been knowing that my children are in a safe and happy environment with people who care about them, and that is exactly what the staff provides at Shining Stars Nursery. I warmly recommend them. It's has become a very important part of our daily life as a busy family. Thank you!

This is a wonderful preschool, run by experienced, articulate, warm and responsive staff. Activities are set out in areas during free play sessions, so that children are able to access different types of play as they choose. Activities are varied each session. There is a clear and consistent routine to the sessions including free play, story time, singing, snack time and outdoor play. Despite the range of activities the atmosphere is calm (and happy!). Staff are responsive to the needs of individual children and families. Parents are communicated with well. Our experience here has been fantastic and we are thrilled to have found a setting in which our son is so happy!

This is a fantastic nursery. My twins have been going here since they turned two and have really enjoyed it and blossomed. They have learnt songs in different languages (including Welsh and Cantonese), enjoyed helping prepare healthy snacks such as soup and sweet potato wedges, enjoyed watering the tomato plants and then enjoying the fruits of thir labour! The range of activities is amazing. Great that there is an outside area where they have a play each day (weather permitting) including a mini Olympics in the summer. The staff are so caring and particularly great with my shy twin helping her settle in at her own pace. Would highly recommend.

My child has attended this fantastic nursery for several months. She is excited the night before she goes and doesn't want to leave when I go to collect her. The activities the children take part in are more varied and more educational than any other nursery I went to view (and I went to view a lot!). The staff are amazing and I feel like my daughter is in safe hands. There is honestly no other nursery I would send my daughter to.

Where do I start! This is honestly the best nursery ever! I’ve been a parent for 15 years and this is by far the best nursery we have experienced, the staff go above and beyond for the children , so kind caring understanding and loving, we will miss shining stars nursery so much highly recommended

This is now the second year my son has attended shining stars and with his additional needs they always make sure they cater to what he may need to the highest level . Staff are super welcoming and the children love them all .I’ve noticed a huge difference with his confidence and he’s also much more sociable ! I would highly recommend this nursery to anybody looking.

Canton's/Cardiff's best nursery!! Shining Stars Nursery School! Wonderful staff and the children have a lovely time everyday making, baking, singing, playing, learning....etc. I don't work there but I'm a super fan and both my children love it!

First encountered Shining Stars with the Thursday play group which our son loved. Then we sent him to the nursery, and again he loved it. Excellent staff and cannot speak highly enough of the care, attention and experience they provide for the children.
