Bunker Opticians

Been going here for about six years now. The manager is always helpful, knowledgeable and patient, and the opticians themselves are always professional, efficient, and will take all the time you need to answer questions. Similarly the receptionists are lovely people.

Their glasses are not the cheapest around. If you're after cheap glasses, you should have gone to Specsavers, but they do stock the latest fashions at not unreasonable prices, and I would highly recommend them.

I've been going to Bunkers for many years alongside my wife who's family have been going there for much longer. The staff there are all incredibly friendly and very accommodating when I take my two young boys there. If like me you struggle to choose frames then Simon is fantastic at steering you in the right direction. I don't think I'll ever go anywhere else.

Bunker fixed me up wonderfully. 3x pair of glasses - one computer, one driving and one general purpose varifocal. Service was super, including unerring patience with multiple adjustments. Selection of frames is broad and the lens fitting/measurement was incredibly thorough. Pricing was competitive too, so no complaints there. As an aside, subscribe to their annual plan - it pays for itself if you elect the additional optical scans. The end result is almost an optical epiphany. I couldn't be more pleased - in contrast to the £1,000 I wasted with another optician in London and 2 years of discomfort, inefficiency and confusion.

Excellent. All the staff were very friendly - including Alexandra who carried out the consultation and fitting - efficient and attentive. Great choice of frames, and considerably better quality lenses than you get in much bigger chains. After such a good experience I'm not going anywhere else for glasses and I've converted my wife to Bunker Opticians too!

I’ve been gifted new glasses(purchased elsewhere)that needed a bit of adjustment; some other independent shops refused to help me(blaming that they didn’t sell the brand and they might ruin the frame….bla bla bla….fyi I was taking full responsibility for damages, in case there were any); but Scott@Bunkers was not only brave enough to fix the glasses to fit my face, but very professional and polite.
Looking forward to buy my next frames here!

Bunkers Opticians in Henley on Thames are probably the best opticians I’ve ever been to. The optician Shona is exceptional, very experienced and professional. She explains things clearly and patiently to you. They have state of the art diagnostic machines for examining the health of your eyes in addition to the usual eye tests and a huge range of glasses frames to choose from. They have really pleasant and friendly staff there and I have no hesitation in highly recommending them

Very good service BUT pricing is very high compared to others in the same market space. Quoted £4,500 less 10% discount if I signed up for at least as twelve month support package at £10 per month. So that brought the price for Oticon More 1 down to £4,170.
Found three other local hearing aid companies that priced at £2,950, £3,195 and £3,250 - with same warranties and lifetime support.

Simon & Paul we’re second to none, excellent service on every visit...
Again last week Scott first class......all headed up and ‘controlled’ by the delightful ‘Clare’.
Several years ago being very ill with my balance, went Into Bunkers mid afternoon... no appointments.
Paul said ‘sit there I’ll see you at the end of my appointments/service’.....the best, Brilliant.
