Field Studies Council - Nettlecombe Court

A wonderful experience. The staff were helpful, food and accommodation excellent and the grounds were stunning. A great place to do my fieldwork.

i recently stayed here for a biology trip with my school. The weekend itself was jam packed and mentally challenging, however my tutor (Mandy) was so supportive and incredibly knowledgeable; therefore, is as a year group learned a lot.
i believe the price of £180 was slightly too much as breakfast and lunch options weren’t varied for those with dietary requirements. On the other hand, the accommodation was modernised and clean! the beds were comfy and had a variety of sizes for large or small friendship groups.
i would definitely give Nettlecombe a go, but only for a weekend stay; you will get very tired!

Stayed here whilst on a geography field trip. We had an excellent time doing field work, shout-out to Mark who was an excellent tutor and really put the effort and was passionate in his teaching. Thank you!

We have been bringing our school to Nettlecombe Court for more than 15years. It is a fantastic opportunity to bring a group of young people out into a safe learning environment. The tutors and the surroundings are amazing and we will keep coming for years to come.

A great place for fieldwork studies. Friendly and accommodating staff and knowledgeable tutors. Overall a great stay in a beautiful location.

Fabulous location, beautiful house and great fieldwork tutors - an all round amazing introduction to the great outdoors.
