I was there to work on a job but the venue looked modern and clean. The staff were friendly and the place has spectacular views.

Great educational residence and a pleasant place for a corporate stay, Howard was a great guide and a credit to the place. Will probably bring the kids in the future. The accommodation is designed for kids so if your looking for a luxury stay, find somewhere else, if you just need a place to leave kit, have a shower and lay your head then it's fine as accommodation.

Our school brought a group of Year 6 children here for a 3-day residential stay this week. We couldn't have been more pleased! The children and staff alike absolutely loved every minute of our time at Hagg Farm.

The instructors were extremely knowledgeable, professional and welcoming. They led our groups on several exciting activities, such as abseiling from a bridge and caving near Castleton. The more nervous children were put right at ease, and they were encouraged without pushing them too far. It felt like a very safe experience, despite all of us being pushed out of our comfort zones!

We took a hike around the local area and to the local reservoirs, which provided the most breathtaking views. The local area is full of exciting wildlife and educational opportunities, which the children revelled in.

The buildings themselves appear to be up-to-date and possibly recently renovated. The bedrooms were comfortable and spacious, providing space for items to be stored away safely. The games room in the larger building kept the kids entertained for ages! In the smaller building, the little social room with a TV was also great for them to sit and relax. We were provided with excellent catering options, even providing gluten-free and vegan options. Teaching staff were also provided with back packs full of safety equipment, radios, phones with reception and first aid packs. Everyone was provided with walking boots and suitable empty backpacks too.

I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking to book a residential!

Basic hostel facilities, rooms clean but can smell of sweaty feet! Very well equipped kitchen. Shower rooms and clean linen available for an extra cost. Located in a lovely area of Derbyshire great walks from the location.
