Have you ever said:"If I can do it myself why pay for it?"
I did, until I was introduced to JLP Decorating.
If your idea of decorating was to get some paint, brushes or a roller and get on with it, think twice.
And what about prep work? That's a word I didn't know, at most wipe the walls down. Right?
Following JLP Decorating on Facebook opened my eyes to a whole new world of decorating.
The preparation work, state of the art tools and finished product made my mind up. I loved what I saw and before you know it they are round our house transforming our hallway, staircase and landing. Best decision we made in a long time.
Prep work lasts 3 days sanding all surfaces including walls, doors, skirting boards, banister and ceiling, filling in every nook and cranny for the finest finish. And not much dust in the house either. Painting takes day and a half and the results are incredible and worth every penny.
We now have a show room in our house.
Lessons learnt:
Unless you have the tools, experience, knowledge of a good painter you'll never do as good a job as them.
Stick to your day job and get JLP Decorating to do what they are best at.
It's not a rocket science.

Great job by James and the team at JLP decorating from start to finish.
James popped round and ran through options for a newly redecorated kitchen, diner and living room. The quote was sent over quickly with a full breakdown of materials etc. It was quite a big job considering how many doors were dealt with and how worn/tatty the place was looking (probably hadn't seen a brush for a number of years, not that I'm lazy, we only moved in recently 😀)
The chaps put so much effort into the prep which has shown with the finish.
The wife and I are very pleased and those who have visited have said it looks awesome, I completely agree.

Thank you James and Rob for doing such a lovely job of painting and wall papering in my kitchen and downstairs cloakroom. James was very good at giving advice when he first came to view the job, I appreciate that as sometimes unsure if I’m doing the right thing! The prep work is amazing and it shows in the final results. The work was done in a very efficient way and always left tidy and clean at the end of the day. I would definitely recommend this company.

Great quality job carried out by James, who from day 1 kept us informed of the position regarding when he could start to a full breakdown of the work he would carry out. Would definitely recommend him and we hope to be using his services again soon.

We decided to upgrade our lounge which included removing anaglypta wallpaper, dado rails and repairing the ceiling. James filled and sanded the walls and ceiling to perfection and then painted the room, which has been transformed.
We would not hesitate to recommend James, We already have him booked to overhaul some other rooms.

Wow what can I say James is fabulous at what he does. Hired him to do our hall, stairs and landing. We had to wait on his waiting list for a few month but this is a sign of a good tradesman and definitely worth the wait. Super clean and not a drop of paint where it shouldn’t be. Clean perfect lines and excellent quality workmanship. Our walls and ceiling where very cracked (1908 house) but James took on the challenge and made it look like we had the hall plastered and all looks brand new again. Preps everything properly and uses excellent quality paint no palming you off with cheap colour matches. Pleasure to have in our home.
