Mark Thomas Painting and Decorating

We had a rendered wall which was looking a bit tired and flakey. Mark managed to fit this in to his busy schedule, he sealed the wall and put a good three coats of paint on to ensure it was looking fantastic again. Great service, from a friendly trustworthy bloke. Thank you!

Mark painted my whole house and did a marvellous job. It is clear Mark takes great pride in his work - the decorating was clean and looked very professional. Upon close inspection, Mark’s experience was more evident - for example how he managed to remove the prominent undulating look of the high walls in the stairs and blend in the coving perfectly. He left the house clean and tidy, was very polite and was a easy to communicate with. I found his price to be excellent value for money. I would highly recommend him and would definitely have him work for me again.

We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Mark, he has done an exceptional job decorating our hallway. We asked him to paint some of the woodwork and hang wallpaper in the hallway and we are thrilled with the result. Mark really went the extra mile to make sure the finish of his work was great. We would definitely use Mark again when we need decorating services and would recommend to anyone else looking for a decorator.

Mark was excellent! I could not get over how quickly he worked - he painted and wallpapered the kitchen, living room hallway and stairs in just 3 days. He matched the wallpaper perfectly even though it was a complicated pattern and was careful and precise when painting. Cannot recommend him enough

I have a rental property in Cheltenham and live in Manchester. I appointed Mark to paint the bedroom, bathroom, hall, kitchen and living room and a few other bits and bobs. He was given keys to the property and was asked to carry out the work and then drop the keys to the neighbour. 4 days latwr he said he completed the job and I paid him. When my tenant arrived at the property a few days later with a friend and a professional carrying out the check in and inventory, I got a call within 5 minutes to say she wasn't happy the property had not been painted. All 3 ppl confirmed he had ONLY touched up here and there and not painted the rooms fully like he was asked and paid to do. I had to then travel back to Cheltenham and also saw that this was in fact true. I called him while I was there many times but he refused to answer my calls. He must have seen that I called but never returned my calls or offered to come to the house while I was there so I could point out everything. Nothing had been painted, just touched up and that was VERY clear to see. There were still smoke stains(previous tenant was a heavy smoker) and other marks on the walls and the nails had been left in the walls as well. I had to call a handyman to come and fix the curtain brackets as Mark had not done this either. He said he would but he didn't. He denied everything and refused to refund the money back to me. I would not recommend him to anyone as he completely abused my trust and used the fact that I wasn't there to check the job had been completed properly to his full advantage. I paid him £290. He claimed to have used £40 worth of paint and that there was none leftover. Where he used 40 pounds worth of paint, I don't know. I would not recommend him to anyone. He seems all friendly and kind when you meet him but what he did to me was anything but kind. No tanning or bleeding came through the paint work because you did not paint anything, you just touched up.

Mark responded to my query quickly, gave a competitive quote, arrived promptly to carry out the work (over two days - allowing for drying time). He was clean and tidy and cleared up afterwards. Thank you Mark for doing the job at short notice. Chris.

Mark did a great job - living/ dining room not decorated for over 15 years. He filled holes in walls and replaced some blown plasterboard, painted ceilings, coving, skirting, dado, walls. Arrived on time every day, worked cheerfully with attention to detail and finish, no mess, and good price too.
