Ian Linford Painting & Decorating

Ian was in demand but we were happy to wait and fit into his schedule. He arrived initially as planned although he was suffering with a heavy cold and we agreed he should rest and return the following week. He spend five days on preparing our hallway/ stairs and landing for painting after building renovations. He was always prompt, respectful and tidy on site. We are very happy with the results. I think his valuation represented value for money.

Ian was contracted to redecorate the dining room where the paper had been up for quite a few years and was starting to peel off. I was amazed at the amount of work that Ian carried out to remove the old paper and prepare the surface for painting and the finished surface was as good as if it had been re-plastered. I would have no hesitation in using Ian again.

Ian is our go-to painter. We rate his work so highly that we cover his petrol money from Portsmouth to Winchester. Despite the extended daily travel he arrived promptly at 8am every morning and completed a full days work. A quality finish begins with thorough preparation and this is evident in all of Ian's work, regardless of what the task he's undertaking. Suffice to say that he is completely trustworthy and reliable, friendly and approachable and we would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone looking for a top quality painter and decorator.

Ian has recently painted our hall stairs and landing. Our house is on a slope so we have a number of halls, short stairs, long stairs and landings! Ian painted all the ceilings, doors, skirtings, stair spindles (all 42 of them) and walls. We are delighted with the end result. Ian is a very tidy worker and he clears away each day. He is very punctual and completed this long job in the timescale he quoted. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Ian for your decorating needs.

Ian kept me fully informed about the timescale involved and arrived when he said to redecorate my hall stairs and landing. He worked very tidily, cleaning up as he went so there was not the dust created as I had anticipated. He worked hard all day with short time for breaks and we were very satisfied with the standard of his work and the care that he gave to the job. I would definitely recommend him and his work and would use him again.

A big shout out to Ian, in just one week he stripped wallpaper, made good walls, and painted the four rooms of the bungalow we had purchased and needed decorating before we moved in. Due to carpets arriving , time was short but he worked so hard to get the rooms looking so fresh and lovely. Highly recommend Ian and should we need a decorator again would contact him without hesitation.
