Chalk and Brown did a brilliat job of painting the back woodwork and front door of my house. They repaired and renovated some damp and rotten sections of woodwork and eased the windows so they now open and close easily. Paul and Gary paid attention to detail throughout, meticulous preparation and finishing. They explained things to me and offered advice when sought, without being pushy. They were punctual and hardworking and completed the job on time, including clearing up after themselves. They were friendly but respectful. I highly recommend them.

Gary and Paul have done an excellent job of our badly damaged windows, outside doors and porch. They are polite, friendly and a pleasure to have around. They are extremely hard working and thorough and we are delighted with the results. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

Gary and Paul are extremely thorough and diligent in the way that they approach all work undertaken with absolutely no short cuts (they painted the entire exterior of our hose, including railings, balconies, conservatory and doors - quite a large job, which took several weeks). For really professional work, in terms of any sort of repair required prior to painting, and then a neat finish, you could not find better. I would also say that nothing was ever too much trouble or too 'difficult', and communication throughout was excellent.

Gary and Paul did an amazing job transforming our dilapidated bedroom (with broken cornices and crumbling walls etc) into a stunning room. They were a real pleasure to have in the house, always cheerful and very tidy. They worked fast and late where necessary to get the job done. Chalk & Brown (Gary and Paul) painted the exterior woodwork and pebble dash of my 1927 house. This included treatment and repair of timbers where rot was exposed.
