We couldn’t recommend Steve highly enough. He has been a trusted decorator and handyman to our family for over 10 years. Most recently he completed a fantastic refurbishment of all our original sash windows (over 30) and doors along with the redecoration and touch up of multiple rooms in preparation for the sale of our house. The quality and attention to detail that Steve strives for and achieves is fantastic to witness and is a key differentiator in the industry. Steve's been providing an excellent interior and exterior maintenance and decorating service for us over several years. He's extremely particular about achieving the best possible quality of finish and accommodating in sequencing the work to suit our requirements. We have used Steve's services a couple of times now and both times we were very pleased with his work. He has done internal and external decorating and maintenance work including painting, rendering, grouting, tiling, carpentry etc. for us. Steve provided an excellent exterior maintenance service for our restaurant. He completely restored our exterior wooden panes to their former glory, when many said it couldn't be done! Steve also did some interior work involving painting and wallpapering and his standard of work is second to none. Reliable, friendly and extremely professional.

Steve Rowhan was recommended to us by a neighbour when we had to source our own decorator as part of a renovation project on our home. Under normal circumstances we would have expected the builder to handle the decoration but their pricing was prohibitive. It meant Steve had to co-ordinate his work with the builder and without me, as the client of both, being onsite to resolve issues or settle any minor disputes. Steve worked alone to internally decorate a 4 bedroom family home in two phases (broadly upstairs and downstairs). Mostly emulsion to walls (to new bare plaster) and ceilings but gloss finish to all the wooden door frames and skirting. No internal doors were painted as these were pre-finished. No window frames as all are uPVC.

His work is of a very high quality and neat finish and works with good quality paints. Only negative was that there was relatively minor paint spotting to flooring (tiles, laminate) which could be removed by me but was then extra work for me after the job was done. Existing carpets were replaced anyway as part of the renovation (after the decoration) and so these did not need protection. Had I been onsite during the work then I would have noticed this during the job and asked Steve to protect flooring better or check for any spotting while paint was still fresh rather than dried on.

But would definitely use him again. His pricing seemed reasonable for the amount of work required.
