Daniel's Painting Decorating & General Maintenance

Danny and his dad did a fantastic job of freshening up our porch, living room, stairs and landing! We're so pleased! Everything from recommending the best paint to use, nothing was too much trouble. Friendly, efficient, will definitely be my first call for the next job that we need done - thank you both!

Daniel was supposed to come and decorate our daughters bedroom, we paid a £150 deposit and he didn't show up when he was supposed to start, a day late he turned up and half stripped the room of old wallpaper, he then didn't show up again, then he turned up put some filler on the walls which looked so bad that we honestly thought he'd thrown it on with his hands and that was it from Daniel. He never came back. A job that was supposed to take 4 days cost us a week of up heaval and a lot of money to repair the state he left our home in. My daughter was devastated and we were more than fair listening to excuse after excuse, he sounded so professional. Read the reviews fully and do not give this charlatan a deposit. He stole £150 off us and we paid out more to fix his shoddy and lazy work before we could decorate it ourselves. Not even had the decency to reply to me. Refund requested but no acknowledgement from him and no refund issued!!! I gave him this overly generous 1 star just to write this review as a warning to others!!!

Daniels Painting and Decorating Service painted our kitchen and utility, as well as a number of interior doors and a feature wall in our daughters bedroom.
Daniel is a really friendly guy who came to quote and discuss options with us. He was really professional and we found his quote extremely fair and booked him straight away. We'd seen his previous work, so knew him and his team were professional painters and decorator and would do a good job.
In terms of the job he did for us, the work was fantastic. We sometimes do our own decorating, but due to our kitchen being fitted we needed a professional to decorate and not get paint everywhere. Before work started the rooms were sheeted and everything was masked up to ensure no paint got onto anything. Their wasn't a spec of paintwhere it shouldn't be and the end result in all of the rooms was fantastic. We'll definitely be using Daniel and his team again as they work to a very high standard and their work is very fairly priced. I can't recommend them enough and plan to have them back to complete some more projects for us in the New Year.

Would give ZERO STARS if possible, DO NOT USE THESE CON ARTISTS!!! both Daniel and his Dad Paul are a pair of liars and cowboys who stole £500 and didn't finish the job. Daniel disappeared with some poor excuse about falling off a ladder and after that started ignoring phone calls after taking the money and now we have to get someone else to finish the job and pay more money!! Unluckily for them I work with Trading Standards so this they won't be getting away with this. I hope this warning gets out about these cowboy con artists!! DO NOT PAY THEM ANY MONEY IN ADVANCE!!! Pair of bloody rob dogs.
Ps,looking at other reviews on here I fully expect Daniel or his Dad (Paul) to post some response full of poor, lame excuses blaming someone or something else for them being conning cowboys who take people's money and don't finish the work. To them I will say, "don't bother" we know what you are about and you won't be getting away with this trust me.

Daniel has recently decorated my lounge from a promptly quote and help with colours to doing the job thoroughly professional - helpful and excellent quality work highly recommend and will be using him again ! Thanks Daniel

We would not recommend Daniel at all. Stood us up for a total of three times, giving us excuses about poor sleep and a bad shoulder. He has now blocked my phone number. That is no way to treat customers at all. Full of excuses and highly unprofessional.

Avoid!!! There will be a list of excuses as to why he cant come back and finish the job you paid him for and you wont see the materials you paid a deposit for either so you wont be able to get anyone else to do it. Says all the right things and sadly (more fool me) i genuinely thought he was a nice guy. Blanked my calls and texts just unnecessarily unprofessional

Do not use this service. Do yourself a favour and steer clear. Daniel did a really poor job at our property, took payment upfront, and then never showed up again to amend his mistakes. He appears professional initially by offering you multiple written invoices to gain your trust. However, this soon stops and he continues to ask for money to buy materials. He asked for money upfront because he was broke apparently, and we felt sorry for him. We have a double-sided page of issues with the work that he has done. I have contacted him several times, without any response. Finally we managed to get a hold of him after we used a different number. He strung us along even further with a series of lies, and said twice that he'll show up, but never did. He is not taking any calls and it appears that he has blocked my number. Daniel is a poor tradesman and a con artist. Do not waste your time and money with this company.
