A pleasant woodland walk. Well laid paths that are well maintained and flat. Suitable for wheelchairs and prams. Used by dog walkers.

I grew up just around the corner from Witch wood and it was an amazing place for me to escape to. It was safe, fun and I spent many a time losing myself in there with my own imagination. I hope it hasn’t changed and from what I can see from the pictures it hasn’t much.

I love the walk through witch wood and it always amazes me how, even when you are looking for the grave and know where to find it, it always seems to disappear and reappear.
I also love the story that the town was so scared of her rising to terrorise them again, that she was buried upside down. Meaning if she was clawing her way out, she was digging her way down to hell!

Lovely greenery corridor walk from Ansdell to Lytham or vise versa. Ideal for dog walking.

Quiet and peaceful what is left of it, by the side of the train tracks at the start of Lytham

It's a narrow strip of old woodland between the railway line and housing, running from Blackpool Road to Lytham Station. At its narrowest, bordering the station, it's only wide enough for two people to pass each other, but along the rest of its length it's more spacious.

It's a haven of peacefulness, away from the bustle of shopping streets and the prom. However if you're taking children for this walk, be aware it's popular with dog walkers who often let their animals off the lead and run unsupervised.
