What a lovely park! A beautiful green space on the edge of Watford and St Albans. We took a walk around the long trail. On a Spring day the views were lovely and the park paths very well kept. The were a few parking spots and a children's play area as well. Whilst we did our walk we were able to find a few Geocaches along the way and stopped off picnic half way round.

This place is a real gem, especially for families. Lots of open space with woodland for walks, an immaculate and well equipped playground for both small and older kids (see photos) and a cafe serving very, very nice food. Open all year round and a great option even when the weather isn't quite perfect.

great for dog walkers, great for family time, they have fairy doors scattered all over the trees and my youngest believes its fairy land. Lovely orchard for the children to run around. highly recommend the park

Great park for dog walkers and youngers as the park has equipment in the cafe (which is very good) area. The car park is next to the cafe and can get full. Do find the wall garden (not always open), which has a number of open air performances.

Took my jack Russell Ash & a friend to shenley park.
Nice open fields for the dogs to run about in.
Has a nice looking cafe although not tried it yet.
Perfect for dogs to let off some steam.

Shenley Park encompasses a wide area that includes a cafe, a number of play areas for kids along with a number of historic buildings and features relating to the history of Shenley.

One of the main areas in the Park, The Orchard, there are a lot of apple trees, however I would not recommend picking any as I was told you’re not allowed to do that. Also situated there are bee hives where you can buy the local honey from the cafe.

Following round you can walk past the grounds of the church view a number of old houses which where once related to the original old historic house which sat on the site before it became a mental hospital, then after becoming the park as, of what we see today.

In the cafe I had a toasted bagel, which I rather enjoyed.
