Great linear park by River Ribble. Its a sculpture park so good for the kids to spot things. My favourite is the kingfisher. For those who enjoy a bit of industrial diversity, walk past Johnson Mathey platinum refinary! We take the ruff w't smooth up in't north!!

We went for the first time, just my partner and I. It is a lovely place and you could spend a lot of time there. There is a sculpture trail which we followed and there is a mix of beautiful scenery from rivers, the quarry stone and woodland and a beautiful meadow. Plenty of benches to sit on on the top of the trail. I would say though, as someone who has some mobility issues that although the paths are clear and some are being updated which is good for prams and wheelchairs, there are some very steep areas. I was glad of the hand rail in places because I struggled. I took my time. The worry I would have for you though is that if you are not fit pushing someone in a chair uphill, and can just manage on the flat, because let's face it, a wheelchair can be a weight in itself the whole trail might be quite strenuous. I'd stay at the start of the trail and when you get to the steps maybe go back. Even that is a decent and lovely walk though as the river runs on the one side all the way. Take a packed lunch and take your time to enjoy it. Like I say, a lovely place. The other downside was the parking. There wasn't any so we had to park on the road. The reason I gave it 4 and not 5 was because of the lack of parking and very steep parts which I didn't feel particularly warned of from the website before we went. On the whole though a decent walk.

Interesting linear park with sculpture trail. It's useful to have a leaflet about the trail with you to find them all. Lovely views through the trees and down to the river. Unfortunate views to industry in the other direction with a inescapable droning noise. Great place to walk a dog.

Lovely little find today for a nice shady off lead walk with the dogs to get out of the sun. Parked on the road just past the gates, apparently there’s a nearby car park past the cemetery. Sign post would be useful.
Added bonus of the sculpture trail, some could do with repair/tidy but still worth a look.

This is a lovely park for a walk with the family, alone or with the dogs. The only issue is one of the paths has been shut a number of years due to falling trees. It was the path along the river with lovely views. This doesnt really impact the park just makes the loops around a little shorter. Some lovely sculptures along the way to find and admire too. There is also a disabled fishing bay which is chair accessible.
